"The Last Polar Bears" is actually one of the recommended books on the SBA list for the HKCEE. It's a really 'hilarious and original' story. Quite easy and fun to read with only 75 pages, lots of illustrations and maps. There's a series of letters written by the 'Grandfather' to the 'Child' describing all the interesting encounters he had on his journey. I especially like his description of the dog, Roo (which actually is the name of the author's pet dog) who has a strong character and views. Also, there're some wolves always threatening them for wine and get drunk all the time. It's only a bit challenging when some colloquials were used.
